The Savannah (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated presented the first virtual and 20th Annual New Beginnings Youth Art Exhibition, featuring art work by Savannah-Chatham County middle and high school students whose work was created based on the theme "Visual Art in a Virtual World." Attendance by students, teachers, parents and special guests made for an exciting awards ceremony for the young artists. Chapter President Angela B. Young told attendees "the chapter strongly supports art as an important part of academic curriculum." The winners were given cash awards for first, second and third place artistic work in both high school and middle school divisions, as well as a Best in Show. More than 125 entries were on display. "We are impressed with the talent of the students and thank them for sharing their work with us," said said Carol Bell, who chairs the Savannah chapter's Arts Facet. Superintendent Dr. Ann Levett, also a member of The Links, Incorporated, congratulated the young artists: "We are proud of the talented students who participated in this exhibit. Congratulations to everyone who had a part in putting this together." To take a guided tour of the exhibition, click here: https://bit.ly/3aRswQg.
